The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced its fall programming slate on September 24, 2015.


The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences tonight honored 15 student winners from colleges and universities around the world at the 42nd Student Academy Awards ceremony, held at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.

John Lasseter, Ed Catmull, the studios’ President, will take the stage in a live panel discussion celebrating “Toy Story,” the world’s first entirely computer-animated feature film, on Thursday, October 1, at 7:30 p.m. at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.

Actress Michelle Rodriguez, Actor Jason Mitchell and Oscar-winning director John Lasseter, along with Roy Conli, Don Hall and Chris Williams, the producing and directing team behind the Animated Feature Film Oscar winner “Big Hero 6,” will be presenters at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 42nd Student Academy Awards® on Thursday, September 17, at 7:30 p.m. at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.
