Hosts: Rob Epstein and Tabitha Jackson

Oscar-winning documentary filmmaker and Academy governor Rob Epstein (The Times of Harvey Milk, Common Threads: Stories from the Quilt) and Tabitha Jackson, director of the Sundance Institute’s Documentary Film Program, hosted this special evening celebrating the nominated films and filmmakers in the Documentary Feature and Documentary Short Subject categories. Lengthy clips from the nominated films were screened, and nominees for all 10 films took part in panel discussions, talking about their own films and sharing insights on the craft of documentary filmmaking and the greater issues their nominated films explore.
