89th OSCARS PRODUCTION TEAM ANNOUNCED

Over 75 Years of Combined Oscars Telecast Experience
Producers Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd today announced eight key members of the production team for the 89th Oscars®, which will air live on Sunday, February 26, on ABC. It was previously announced that Glenn Weiss would be returning as director for his second consecutive year.
“This team has over 75 years of combined experience working on Oscars telecasts,” said De Luca and Todd. “It’s truly a privilege to work alongside them.”
HOLLYWOOD STREET CLOSURES FOR 2017 OSCAR® WEEK

To ensure public safety, support security strategies and facilitate the production of this year’s Oscars®, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the City of Los Angeles have finalized street closure plans around the Dolby Theatre™ at Hollywood & Highland Center® in Hollywood.
To accommodate the construction of press risers, fan bleachers and pre-show stages along the Oscars red carpet, Hollywood Boulevard will be closed between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive beginning at 10 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, and remain closed until 6 a.m. on Wednesday March 1.

Oscar® nominees Lin-Manuel Miranda, Sting, Justin Timberlake and 2014 Oscar winner John Legend will perform at the 89th Oscars® ceremony, show producers Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd announced today. Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, the Oscars will air live on Sunday, February 26, on the ABC Television Network.
“We’re thrilled to welcome these world-class artists to the Oscars. These performances will not only celebrate the five extraordinary nominated original songs, but also the integral part music plays in movies,” De Luca and Todd said.
GLENN WEISS RETURNS AS OSCARS DIRECTOR

Show producers Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd announced today that Glenn Weiss will return as Oscars® director, his second consecutive year. Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, the Oscars will air live Sunday, February 26, on the ABC Television Network.

ACADEMY ANNOUNCES 89TH OSCARS® GOVERNORS BALL CREATIVE TEAM

Academy governor Jeffrey Kurland, event producer Cheryl Cecchetto and master chef Wolfgang Puck will return to create this year’s Governors Ball, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ official post-Oscar® celebration, which will immediately follow the 89th Oscars® ceremony on Sunday, February 26. The Ball’s 1,500 invited guests include Oscar winners and nominees, show presenters and other telecast participants.
JOHN CHO AND LESLIE MANN TO HOST ACADEMY’S SCI-TECH AWARDS

Actors John Cho and Leslie Mann will host the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Scientific and Technical Awards Presentation on Saturday, February 11, at the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills. They will present 18 awards to 34 individual recipients, as well as five organizations, during the evening.
ACADEMY’S OSCAR WEEK EVENTS CELEBRATE THIS YEAR’S NOMINEES

In the week leading up to the 89th Oscars®, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will present a series of public programs celebrating this year’s nominees in the Animated Feature Film, Documentary Feature, Documentary Short Subject, Foreign Language Film, Makeup and Hairstyling, and Animated and Live Action Short Film categories. All events will be held at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.
