The Turner Classic Movies (TCM) Collection is an annual donation to the Archive that began in 1998 and continues to the present day. Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. launched TCM in April of 1994 as an outlet for the 5,000-title Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer library Ted Turner purchased eight years earlier. In addition to MGM titles, the library also includes RKO Radio, and pre-1948 Warner Bros. films. The Archive holds interviews conducted by TCM Productions with celebrities, film industry professionals, and family members of celebrities. The interviews were edited and used to supplement TCM programming. The collection, currently at 371 items, consists of unedited copies of those interviews.
