Screenwriters John August and Craig Mazin celebrated the 100th episode of their popular Scriptnotes podcast with a live taping in Hollywood, featuring surprise special guests and a lightning round of audience questions. 

John August is a screenwriter whose credits include “Go” (1999), “Charlie’s Angels” (2000), “Titan A.E.” (2000), “Big Fish” (2003), “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” (2005), “Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride” (2005) and “Frankenweenie” (2012). He wrote and directed “The Nines” (2007) and has also created television shows for the WB Network and ABC. August’s company, Quote-Unquote Apps, has released several apps that assist screenwriters, and he wrote the book for the musical version of “Big Fish,” which opens on Broadway this fall.

Craig Mazin’s writing credits include the comedies “Senseless” (1998), “Scary Movie 3” (2003), “Scary Movie 4” (2006), “The Hangover Part II” (2011), “The Hangover Part III” (2013) and “Identity Thief” (2013). He most recently co-wrote and produced the animated feature “Free Birds,” set for release in the fall of 2013. Mazin served on the Board of Directors of the Writers Guild of America, West from 2004 to 2006.
