This year’s five nominated films are from Lebanon (Capernaum), Mexico (Roma), Poland (Cold War), Japan (Shoplifters) and Germany (Never Look Away). Following a screening of clips from each nominee, Larry Karaszewski, co-chair of the Foreign Language Film Award Executive Committee, moderated a discussion with each of the films’ directors.
