Mixing indie savvy and wry humor, the films of brothers Jay and Mark Duplass reflect a unique, quirky sensibility in American cinema. On October 6, 2015, they joined the audience at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater with the Academy's Randy Haberkamp as moderator for a discussion of their work, which began as children watching domestic dramas instead of Star Wars and evolving into filmmakers (inspired by the success of the Coen Brothers) behind such films as Jeff, Who Lives at Home, Cyrus, Baghead and The Puffy Chair, all of which they discusses in this humorous and memorable evening, as seen in the video and photo highlights below.
