SUSTAINABILITY STYLE GUIDE

As part of the Academy’s commitment to sustainability, we are pleased to issue our 2024 Sustainability Style Guide.

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO USE YOUR TICKETS

Tickets are for you and your guest’s personal use and are non-transferable. If you are unable to use your tickets, please contact the Academy Events team at AcademyEvents@oscars.org.

PHOTO ID REQUIRED

All attendees must show a government-issued ID (example: driver’s license or passport) that matches the name on their digital ticket to be admitted.

NO UNAUTHORIZED PHOTOGRAPHY OR RECORDINGS

Unauthorized still photography as well as video and audio recording anywhere on the premises is prohibited. Cameras are prohibited. Cell phones, however, are allowed.

CONSENT TO APPEAR ON BROADCAST

The Oscars presentation will be commercially broadcast. Each ticket states that the user conveys a release to the Academy, the network, and the sponsors should he or she appear on the broadcast.

RETAIN YOUR DIGITAL TICKET THROUGHOUT THE EVENT

Due to heightened security, each guest should retain personal possession of their digital ticket throughout the event. Guests may be asked to show their ticket at various times throughout the evening and anyone not in possession of a valid ticket may be asked to leave.

Please note: Posting photos or screenshots of your digital tickets on social media or elsewhere is prohibited and may result in tickets being revoked.

ACCESSIBILITY REQUESTS

The Academy is committed to hosting inclusive, accessible events that enable all guests to engage and participate fully. If you have a request or question related to accessibility, please contact us at Accessibility@oscars.org. Information is kept confidential.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

With COVID still with us, we ask that you please refrain from attending if you are not feeling well. If attending, we encourage testing and masking but do not require it. We look forward to hosting you.

TICKET HOLDERS AND VEHICLES SUBJECT TO SEARCH

In addition to all guests being subject to search, automobiles arriving at the Oscars will also be subject to search even if the driver or passenger(s) are not present.

Private cars will be examined prior to being parked by valets. Our security personnel must have access to glove boxes, trunks, and any other compartments in your vehicle. If there are items in your car that you do not want searched, please remove them prior to your departure for the ceremony.

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE INFORMATION

With increased traffic around Hollywood and heightened security at the Dolby Theatre, please give yourself plenty of time to arrive.

All guests are expected to be in their seats by 3:30pm. Guests should be aware that walking the red carpet may take up to 30 minutes.

For security reasons, guests are required to follow the Academy’s instructions to gain access to the drop-off area at the Dolby Theatre. Guests will receive a digital parking pass with directions for arriving by valet (AUTO) as well as by a chauffeur-driven vehicle (LIMO).

To retrieve your vehicle after the show, please present your valet or limo claim ticket at the designated call-back table. For valet, guests will be directed to the appropriate area to wait for your car. For chauffeur-driven vehicles, attendants at the call-back table will contact your driver in the limo holding area. At that time, your driver will be given a pass to enter the pick-up area. Please do not call the driver directly. Without a pass, your driver will not be able to pick you up.

RIDESHARE

Guests arriving by rideshare will be considered a chauffeur-driven vehicle and should use the corresponding digital vehicle pass and directions (LIMO). Upon departure, guests who would like to use rideshare will be directed to a shuttle that will take them to a designated pick-up area at the Hollywood Bowl.

ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS - AUTO

Your car will be searched at the security checkpoint. To expedite the search, please empty your vehicle of all unnecessary items.

At the drop-off point, valet attendants will give drivers a call-back ticket. Make sure you have your call-back ticket and that the valet attendants have keys to your car.

DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS

Self-driven vehicles must approach the Dolby Theatre from the east on Hollywood Boulevard.

If you are arriving from the Hollywood Freeway (101), exit at Cahuenga Boulevard and travel south to Hollywood Boulevard. Turn right on Hollywood Boulevard. Proceed to the security checkpoint and follow directions to the drop-off area.

Please note: The Highland Avenue exit may be closed from the southbound 101; use the Cahuenga exit instead.

If you are arriving from the west, south, or east via surface streets, make your way to the intersection of
Sunset and Wilcox Avenue and turn north. Turn left at Hollywood Boulevard. Proceed to the security checkpoint and follow directions to the drop-off area.

ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS - LIMO

Due to limited turning space, limousines exceeding 39’ in length will not be allowed to enter the limousine checkpoint.

At the drop-off point, drivers and guests will receive call-back tickets with matching numbers. Make sure that the numbers on the tickets match. Limousines should proceed to the designated parking area at the Hollywood Bowl.

Please note: Limousines will not be permitted to circle.

DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS - LIMO

Limousines must approach the Dolby Theatre from the south on Highland Avenue from the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard.

If arriving from the Hollywood Freeway (101), exit at Vine Street and travel south to Santa Monica Boulevard*. Turn right on Santa Monica Boulevard. Continue to Highland Avenue and turn right. Proceed north to the drop-off area.

If arriving from the west, south or east via surface streets, make your way to Highland Avenue on Santa Monica* and turn north. Proceed to the drop-off area.

*No vehicles will be admitted via Sunset Boulevard.

WAITING AREA AND PICKUP

Limousines must park in the designated parking area at the Hollywood Bowl after dropping off guests. A waiting area for drivers will be available with refreshments and television monitors broadcasting the Oscars.

After the show or ball, guests will present their call-back tickets and limousines will be called by the limousine coordinators at the Hollywood Bowl. At that time, drivers will surrender their “arrivals” dashboard pass and be issued a “departure” pick-up pass. Without this pass, LAPD will not permit drivers through the vehicle checkpoint to pick up their guests.
