The collection of Academy Award-winning documentarian Robert Snyder (1916-2004), named for his production company Masters & Masterworks, was acquired in 1998 and includes nearly 1500 items. Snyder made documentaries about many of the most important artists, writers, and thinkers of the 20th century, including: Buckminster Fuller, Pablo Casals, Henry Miller and Anais Nin. The collection includes copies of his finished films, as well as a large amount of original elements, outtakes, and production materials.
