“Help! My Snowman's Burning Down” (1964)

The Carson Davidson Collection consists of original negatives and prints from nearly all of the films the director made during his more than 30-year career, including the best surviving materials for many of his features, short films, and commissioned films for companies and organizations, such as Alitalia Airlines and the American Cancer Society. The Archive has preserved over ten of Davidson’s films, including his Academy Award® nominated films, “3rd Ave. El” (1955) and “Help! My Snowman’s Burning Down” (1964). The collection came to the Archive in 2009, courtesy of Mr. Davidson and the New York Public Library.
