Robert Balser is a retired animator whose 50 year career started in the early 1950s. Working both in European countries and the United States, he produced shorts, advertisements, TV series and features, and most notably, The Beatles' “Yellow Submarine” (1968). In 2012, the collection of over 100 items went from Balser’s home to the vault of the Academy Film Archive, and consists primarily of film prints and production elements of the films he worked on including “El Sombrero” (1964) and “Alcohol In The Human Body” (1961).
