Founded in 1991, the Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA) is a professional organization of audiovisual archivists from around the world, with representatives from over 750 archives. The AMIA Collection dates from 1996 and includes over 150 videotaped programs from their yearly professional conferences, symposia, and panels on a variety of topics related to the moving image archiving field.
