Media Credentials
The deadline to apply for media credentials for the 84th Academy Awards, including the Nominations Announcement and the Nominees Luncheon, has now passed. We are unable to accept late applications.
Applications for Oscars Setup Credentials, which will give legitimate press representatives access to specific exterior locations from: Monday, February 20, at 9 a.m. PT to Sunday, February 26, at 11 a.m. PT, are available now. Oscars Setup Credentials will be made available only to media outlets wishing to report about the Academy Awards. Oscars Setup Credentials will not be provided to media outlets or others seeking to photograph, audiotape or videotape material for any other purpose. On Sunday, February 26, at 11 a.m. PT, all Oscars Setup Credentials will be void. Security will ask all Oscars Setup Credential holders still on site to leave.
In order to apply for Oscars Setup Credentials, you must be registered on our Academy Press List. To register, please go to http://presslist.oscars.org.
Once your registration has been confirmed,
- Enter your e-mail address and password in the log in section at http://presslist.oscars.org.
- Select “Oscars Setup Credentials Application”
- Fill out the form completely
- Submit
ID numbers (valid U.S. Drivers License, U.S. government-issued ID card, or Passport) in addition to the full names, date of birth, and e-mail addresses of all individuals are required, in advance, of all individuals to receive Oscars Setup Credentials.
Individuals must be at least 18 years of age to obtain an Oscars Setup Credential. No exceptions.
The individual’s name must be submitted at least 24 hours before he or she intends to pick up the credential. No credentials will be issued without a valid ID having been submitted in advance.
All names must be submitted by 6 p.m. PT on Thursday, February 23, 2012. No late submissions will be accepted.
E-mail confirmation will be sent to each individual approved to receive an Oscars Setup Credential within 2 business days.
