AFA Collection - Marshall Plan Collection

Since 2004, the Academy Film Archive has been collecting a vast assortment of materials from acclaimed documentarians, Albert and David Maysles. This trove of film and video, consisting of approximately 1,800 items, was previously held by the Maysles in three different locations. Best known for “Salesman” (1968), “Gimme Shelter” (1970) and “Grey Gardens” (1975), their team has also chronicled the work of environmental installation artist Christo for more than 40 years. Original materials for more than a half century of projects, including a wealth of outtakes, are housed at the Archive.
