The Academy has received reference copies from the International Documentary Association since 1993. This collection, totaling over 8,000 items, includes copies of many of the recent winners of the annual IDA Awards, as well as other documentary films and material related to the work of IDA. Beginning in 2004, all films submitted for the IDA Awards have been donated to the Academy; representing a broad array of documentary work around the world.
