Oscar-nominated Animated Feature Symposium

March 4 – The Academy brings together the 2009 Oscar nominees in the Animated Feature Film category to discuss their work and present clips from their films. More

Foreign Language Film Award Nominees Symposium

March 6 – An onstage panel discussion with the directors of the motion pictures nominated for the 2009 Academy Award in the Foreign Language Film category, plus brief clips from each film. More

Oscar-nominated Makeup Artists and Hairstylists Nominees Symposium

March 6 – The 2009 Oscar nominees in the Makeup category will discuss their creative process and present film clips, photographs and models representing their nominated work. More

Oscar Night America

March 7 – Oscar Night America will be celebrated in 51 cities across the nation!  Red carpets, paparazzi, local celebrities and silent auctions benefitting worthy charities across the country. More

The Hunt for Red October

March 18 – The Academy’s Science and Technology Council presents a 20th anniversary screening of John McTiernan’s Cold War thriller, featuring a newly struck 35mm print and an onstage discussion with members of the film’s crew. More

Oscars Docs, Part Six

March 22–May 3 – Oscar-winning short subject and feature-length documentaries from the Awards years 2004–2009, including “Born into Brothels,” “March of the Penguins,” “Taxi to the Dark Side,” and more. Many screenings include an onstage discussion with the filmmakers. More

2009–2010 Contemporary Documentaries

March 24–June 9 – The 28th annual free Contemporary Documentary series showcases 2008 feature-length and short documentaries. Part Two of the series begins March 24 with “The Witness – From the Balcony of Room 306” and “Trouble the Water.” More
