Showcase of Academy Award®–Nominated Documentaries and Shorts

During the week leading up to the 81st Academy Awards®, the Center for the National Archives Experience hosted the fifth annual free screenings of the year’s Oscar®-nominated motion pictures in four categories: Documentary Feature, Documentary Short Subject, Live Action Short Film and Animated Short Film. The program was presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in partnership with The Charles Guggenheim Center for the Documentary Film and the Foundation for the National Archives.

The screenings were introduced by distinguished members of the Washington, D.C. film community. More information is available at www.archives.gov.
