Backstage Interview | 85th Academy Awards

Sound Editing

Q.What an amazing year for Swedish people at the Oscars. What do you think how come there was a tie this year? That's an exceptional thing. A.It is exceptional. I have a funny story about that. Just before our category came up, another fellow nominee sat next to me and I said, you know, what if there's a tie? What will they do? And then we come up and we got a tie. So it's quite extraordinary. I don't know if this has ever happened before. Maybe somebody here can correct me. Q.You got another Oscar in 2008 with THE HURT LOCKER, another film with Kathryn Bigelow. So what makes you keep working with Kathryn Bigelow? A.We keep getting these. She's a fantastic storyteller and a fantastic director. I love the movies she's done in the past, I love the movies she's currently working on when I've been on board. She's very different from most directors I've worked with. She's an extraordinary person, an extraordinary director and I'm blessed to work with her. Q.Thank you so much and congratulations.
