CATEGORY: Music (Original Song)
INTERVIEW WITH: Adele Adkins and Paul Epworth

Q.I read that you recorded this song in ten minutes. A.(Paul Epworth) No. A.(Adele Adkins) No. A.(Paul Epworth) I didn't say that. I said we got the first A.(Adele Adkins) Composer. A.(Paul Epworth) We got the first draft down in ten minutes, which was just that was A.(Adele Adkins) It was two studio sessions. It was a bit longer than that. We're good but we're not that good. I'm sorry. Q.Congratulations. A.(Adele Adkins) Thank you. Q.So, you have the Oscar, you have the Grammy, two to go for the EGOT. How are you going to do it? A.(Adele Adkins) I don't know. Maybe I'll do like an HBO special like Beyoncé did. And then a Tony, I'm not so sure. That may be one day maybe someone might want me to do a musical. A.(Paul Epworth) A musical. A.(Adele Adkins) That's not in my probability for the moment. No offense. Q.Hi, Adele. Congratulations. A.(Adele Adkins) Thank you. Q.You recently paid Robbie Williams a visit and I just wanted to know whether you're planning a musical [inaudible]. A.(Adele Adkins) I don't think so. We're just enjoying being parents together, really. His little girl is only two weeks older than mine. It's a lot of fun. He's very much a pro at it. And we just discuss how to stay out of the limelight, if anything, unfortunately. Q.Hi, Adele. Congratulations. A.(Adele Adkins) Hi. Q.Hello. We missed you at the Brits. A.(Adele Adkins) Oh, I missed it. I didn't want to fly back with my baby. Q.I just want to ask you quickly, where are you going to be partying tonight? A.(Adele Adkins) I don't know. I think I might go to the Vanity Fair party. That would be quite nice. And I've got to get up at 6:00 and one glass of champagne I'm gone these days. So yeah, hopefully, visit my boyfriend. Q.Hi, Adele. A.(Adele Adkins) Hi. Congratulations, you guys, on your win. What is your career process when working with somebody else? A.(Adele Adkins) Well, with Paul it just, kind of, normally I go to him with an idea, and you have an idea ready for me as well, and normally we just kind of throw them at each other, and if something happens, which is certainly what happened with "Skyfall" and "Rolling in the Deep" were absolutely done well. But sometimes, you know, it just happens great like it does if I say sometimes it's a bit dry, you just got to connect and just hope for the best I find, really, to be really honest with whoever you're working with or whoever you're collaborating with, so that they get the idea. I came into the studio A.(Paul Epworth) It's your strength. A.(Adele Adkins) I came into the studio yeah, it's a bad strength though because the whole world knows my business. But, you know, going into the studio and involving someone in your life, I cried the first time when I told Paul about my ex, didn't I, telling the story, and then "Rolling in the Deep" happened.
