Q. So, now you have a Golden Globe and now you have an Oscar. What are you going to do with these two statues when you get back to your homeland?
A. Well, I don't know what I'll do when I get back to my homeland, but tonight, I'll preferably put them next to my cushion in my bedroom and when I get back, I'll put them somewhere where I'll watch them all the time. I'm really very proud. I mean, this is fantastic.
Q. You were saying that the other movies were great, the other movies in the category. What else can you say about them? Was there anything in particular that you thought, "Okay, that's going to win"?
A. You know, actually, I mean, this might sound weird but I actually hadn't really been thinking about, "This one is going to win." You know, the thing is as a filmmaker, you are naturally interested in good movies and you're naturally interested in movies that have a real impact on you, and all the foreign movies had an impact on me. And it's an interesting thing with this category because you kind of feel like you're colleagues, and you feel incredibly sort of provoked or whatever about the movie. And of course I want to win but you're also intrigued by the story that's happening.
Q. We were talking on the red carpet and I asked you do you know what you're going to say if you win, what you want to tell the world. Did you actually have your speech ready and did you say what you wanted to say and what you intended to?
A. I didn't say anything I intended to.
