Danette Herman
Named Co-producer
for Oscar® Show

Beverly Hills, CA — Danette Herman will serve as co-producer for the 79th Academy Awards® telecast, producer Laura Ziskin has announced. Herman’s duties as co-producer will include selecting the presenters and performers for the annual Oscar telecast. This will be the 33rd year she has been associated with the show.

A specialist in live television, galas and special events, Herman recently served as coordinating producer for the “58th Annual Primetime Emmy® Awards” and the “Kennedy Center Honors.”

Other credits include “An American Celebration at Ford’s Theater;” four presidential inaugural galas; and the opening and closing ceremonies of the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta. Herman has worked on over 200 television events.

Nominations for the 79th Academy Awards will be announced on Tuesday, January 23, 2007, at 5:30 a.m. PST in the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater.

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2006 will be presented on Sunday, February 25, 2007, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center®, and televised live by the ABC Television Network at 5 p.m. PST, beginning with a half-hour arrivals segment, “The Road to the Oscars.”
