Oscar® Nominees Honored at Academy Luncheon

Beverly Hills, CA - Seventeen of the 19 nominees in the acting categories will be among the more than 100 nominees from 24 categories who will gather at noon for the traditional pre-Academy Awards fete when the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences honors this year's Oscar contenders at its annual Nominees Luncheon on Monday, (February 7), at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

From the Leading Actor and Actress categories Don Cheadle, Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, Clint Eastwood, Jamie Foxx, Annette Bening, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Imelda Staunton, Hilary Swank and Kate Winslet are expected to attend. Cate Blanchett, Laura Linney, Virginia Madsen, Sophie Okonedo, Alan Alda, Thomas Haden Church and Morgan Freeman are set to represent the Supporting categories.

Four of the five nominees from the Directing category - Clint Eastwood, Taylor Hackford, Alexander Payne, Martin Scorsese - are scheduled to attend.

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2004 will be presented on February 27, 2005 , at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland®. The Oscars® will be televised live by the ABC Television Network beginning at 5 p.m. PST / 8 p.m. EST, with a half-hour arrivals segment.
