December 1, 2003 Seligman Named Supervising Producer of 76th Oscar® Telecast
Beverly Hills, CA - Michael B. Seligman has been named supervising producer of the 76th Academy Awards® show, his 27th year of association with Oscar telecasts, producer Joe Roth has announced. With over 300 major television events to his credit, Seligman specializes in producing live broadcasts throughout the world. Most recently, he served as supervising producer for "CBS at 75," the celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the CBS Network and the "55th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards." In addition, Seligman served as associate producer for the "The Kennedy Center Honors" and "An American Celebration at Ford's Theatre." Seligman's other producing credits include "America's Millenium," a three-hour live New Year's Eve celebration; "The Harry Connick Jr. Christmas Show," the NBC special "Funny Women of Television" and "Return of the Titanic," television's second highest-rated syndicated special in history. Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2003 will be presented on Sunday, February 29, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland® and televised live by the ABC Television Network at 5 p.m. PST, beginning with a half-hour arrival segment.
