Academy's Diamond Anniversary Screening Series to Feature "Dances With Wolves"

Beverly Hills, CA - The epic western "Dances With Wolves" comes to Beverly Hills on Monday, September 15, for a one-night screening at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The 1990 Oscar®-winning drama will screen at 7:30 p.m. in the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater as the 75th anniversary series, "Facets of the Diamond," continues.

Footage from the 63rd Academy Awards® telecast will precede the screening, as will the Oscar-winning Animated Short Subject of 1990, "Creature Comforts." The original trailer for "The Silence of the Lambs," the next film in the screening series, also will be featured during the program. The Best Song of 1990, "Sooner or Later (I Always Get My Man)" as performed by Madonna in the film "Dick Tracy," will provide the evening's curtain music.

Tickets may be purchased, pending availability, at a cost of $5 each for the general public and $3 for Academy members and students with a valid I.D. Tickets may be purchased in person at the Academy during regular business hours or by mail. The Academy is located at 8949 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills.
