Academy’s Diamond Anniversary Screening Series to Feature "The Life of Emile Zola"

Beverly Hills, CA - "The Life of Emile Zola" will be featured on Monday, July 8, at 7:30 p.m. in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Samuel Goldwyn Theater as the next film in the Academy’s 75th Anniversary screening series, "Facets of the Diamond: 75 Years of Best Picture Winners."

The evening’s program will include trailers for other Best Picture nominees of 1937, including "The Good Earth," "Captains Courageous" and "A Star Is Born." From the film "Waikiki Wedding," Bing Crosby’s song "Sweet Leilani," which won the Oscar® that year for Best Song, will serve as the curtain music. The Oscar-winning Cartoon Short Subject, "The Old Mill," will be featured in addition to newsreel footage of the 10th Academy Awards®.

Tickets may be purchased, pending availability, at a cost of $5 each for the general public and $3 for Academy members and students with a valid I.D. Tickets may be purchased in person at the Academy during regular business hours or by mail. The Academy is located at 8949 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills.
