Beverly Hills, CA - Marvin Levy, a marketing executive at DreamWorks SKG, has been appointed to his ninth term as chair of the Academy Awards Public Relations Coordinating Committee by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Frank Pierson.

Levy, a governor of the Academy representing the public relations branch, has headed the committee since the 66th Awards Presentation in 1994.

The Public Relations Coordinating Committee coordinates the publicity, promotion and advertising efforts of the Academy, ABC, the production team and the variety of vendors and providers of services to the telecast.

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2001 will be presented on March 24, 2002, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland^® and will be televised live by the ABC Television Network beginning at 5 p.m. (PST), with a half-hour arrivals segment preceding the presentation ceremony.
