Polls Close Tuesday for Final Oscar® Ballots

Beverly Hills, CA - Tomorrow (Tuesday, 3/20) is the final voting deadline for the 73rd Academy Awards Presentation. All ballots must be returned to the offices of PricewaterhouseCoopers by 5 p.m. (PST) tomorrow evening. Any ballot arriving after 5 p. m. will not be counted.

The final ballots were mailed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' voting members on February 28, 2001.

PricewaterhouseCoopers will tabulate the results of the voting and place the winners' names in sealed foil-lined envelopes. The tabulating firm's partners, Greg Garrison and Lisa Pierozzi, will be the only two people who know the results of the voting prior to the envelopes being opened on Oscar Night, next Sunday.

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2000 will be presented on March 25, 2001, at the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium. Sunday at the Oscars® will be televised live by the ABC Television Network beginning at 5 p.m. (PST), with a half-hour arrivals segment preceding the presentation ceremony. Information about the 73rd Academy Awards can be accessed on the World Wide Web at <oscar.com>.
