Beverly Hills, CA -John Travolta will present at the 73rd Academy Awards^® presentation, producer Gil Cates announced today. This will be the actor's seventh appearance as an Oscar show presenter.

Travolta has twice been nominated by the Academy in the Leading Actor category, for "Saturday Night Fever"(1977) and "Pulp Fiction" (1994). He recently completed production on "Swordfish" and is currently shooting "Domestic Disturbance." Travolta's other film credits include "A Civil Action," "Primary Colors," "Face Off" and "Phenomenon."

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2000 will be presented on March 25, 2001, at the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium. Sunday at the Oscars^® will be televised live by the ABC Television Network beginning at 5 p.m. (PST), with a half-hour arrivals segment preceding the presentation ceremony.
