Wednesday, December 3, is the deadline to submit Official Screen Credits (OSC) forms to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for 87th Academy Awards® consideration.
For a feature film to be eligible, the film’s distributor or producer must complete the OSC form at http://submissions.oscars.org, sign the hard copy, then mail or deliver it along with the film’s legal billing to the Academy’s 8949 Wilshire Boulevard headquarters. Alternatively, the signed form and billing may be scanned and e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline for submission by either method is 5 p.m. PT on December 3. If a feature film is released in Los Angeles County in 2014 and the completed OSC form and billing are not delivered by the deadline, the film will not be eligible for Academy Awards consideration in any year.
While the credits submission deadline is December 3, feature films have until midnight, December 31, to open in a qualifying commercial motion picture theater in Los Angeles County and begin a minimum run of seven consecutive days to be eligible for 2014 Oscars.
Complete 87th Academy Awards rules can be found at www.oscars.org/oscars/rules-eligibility. For additional information about feature film submission and eligibility, contact the Academy at email@example.com or 310-247-3000, ext. 2299.
