Books and Pamphlets in the Library Catalog

The library collects primarily English-language books on motion pictures and selected books in allied fields such as television, theater and radio. The collection numbers over 32,000 volumes.

Catalog records
The online catalog includes all titles in the book and pamphlet collections. Each bibliographic record provides a brief description including author, title, place of publication, publisher, date of publication, subject headings, and notes or table of contents.

BOOK AND PAMPHLET COLLECTION SEARCH TIPS

Basic Search:
To browse catalog records for books and pamphlets only, type a search term in the Search field, set the In field to the desired search type, set Quick Limit to Books, and click the Search button.

Advanced Search:
To narrow your search or to combine elements, use the Advanced Search to choose searchable fields such as Author Name, Title, Subject or ISBN.

Subject Search:
To search by subject using Basic Search, set the In field to Subject or Subject Browse. Subject headings include both Library of Congress headings and local headings.

Search Limits:
To limit a search by language, publication date(s) or place of publication (country, state, province of Canada), first click Set Limits and make selections. Click Set Limits again to return to the search screen. These search limits can be used in both Basic Search and Advanced Search.
