Important Notice to All Academy Members
The sole purpose of screening the nominated pictures listed here is to provide Academy members with an opportunity to see all the film achievements of 2011 nominated for Academy Awards.
We are indebted to the producing companies for providing the prints shown in our theaters; in fairness to them and to other members, we must insist that you observe these rules:
- Admission is by Academy membership card only.
- The card must be presented BY THE MEMBER, who may be accompanied by only ONE guest; however, spouses of members may attend any afternoon screening, Monday through Friday only, by merely presenting an appropriate form of identification. They also may be accompanied by ONE guest.
- No children under 13 years of age will be admitted to any screening.
We cannot allow any exceptions to our basic rules. Members who lend cards to friends, appear at the door with more than one guest or otherwise abuse Academy screening privileges not only create embarrassing situations for themselves and our staff, they also violate the trust between the Academy and the producing companies that is fundamental to the voting process.
