Final Report Guidelines Film Festival Grants
All festivals that receive a grant must submit a final report by December 31 of the year the grant was used. The report should be as long as it needs to be, but brevity is appreciated. Compose your report according to the following guideline:
- Open with a statement that includes the grant amount and the program for which it was received. Then give a basic recap of the festival as a whole, followed by a recap of the specific program that the Academy funded. Please mention any deviations from the original proposal and give an explanation for why those deviations occurred. (Note: The Academy should always be notified of any deviations from the original proposal in advance of the festival opening.)
- How well received was the program? What were the attendance figures?
- How did the grant impact the funded program? How did the grant impact the overall festival?
- What changes might the festival make to improve the funded program?
- What changes might the festival make to improve the impact of the Academy’s grant?
- Multi-year grant recipients: Are there any significant staffing, programming, format or other changes anticipated for the festival in the coming year?
- Include a recap of how the Academy was acknowledged at the festival.
- Include a final budget breakdown for the funded program, including a breakdown of how the grant was spent.
- Include copies of the festival program as well as any other material in which the Academy’s logo or "special support" statement appear.
