Theater Ticket Policies

  • Accessibility Services and Assistive Listening Devices: Wheelchair access is provided at both The Samuel Goldwyn and Linwood Dunn Theaters.  Infrared assistive listening devices for the hearing impaired are available upon request at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater.
  • Security: Please be advised that members of the public attending events at the Academy’s theaters are subject to security checks: a visual inspection of all purses/bags and metal detector screening.
  • Food and Beverages: No food or beverages of any kind are allowed in our theaters.  Filtered water fountains are located in the lobbies.
  • Seating: General admission seats are unreserved.  Doors typically open one hour before the start of each event.  Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.  There is no late seating.
  • Stand-By Seating: Subject to availability, stand-by tickets for any unfilled seat will be purchasable shortly before the beginning of a sold-out event.  Holding a previously purchased ticket does not guarantee a seat after that time.
  • Refunds: Tickets are refundable before an event only if the event has sold out in advance.  Tickets are never refundable after an event.
  • Parking: Complimentary parking for the Samuel Goldwyn Theater is provided at 8920 Wilshire Blvd. (enter off of La Peer) and 9025 Wilshire Blvd. (enter off Wetherly).  Complimentary parking for the Linwood Dunn Theater is provided in the Academy’s lot adjacent to the Pickford Center, (enter off Homewood, one block north of Fountain).  All parking facilities close ½ hour after conclusion of an event.
  • Autographs: As a courtesy to speakers, hosts and invited guests, the Academy has a “no autographs” policy at all events.


Ordering Tickets

Tickets to Academy events may be purchased online, by mail or at the box office.


Online

Tickets to the Academy’s Los Angeles-area public events are now available for purchase through a simple, secure online system.  There are no minimum order requirements and no transaction or processing fees.  Ticket prices remain the same.

To purchase tickets online you will be asked to provide the following information:

  • Your name
  • Number of tickets requested
  • A credit card number
  • Your mailing address, if tickets are to be mailed

Delivery Options

  • Print out tickets at home
  • Receive tickets in the mail (Please allow 7 - 10 days for your tickets to be delivered. If your order is placed after that time, your tickets must be picked up at will call or printed at home.)
  • Have tickets held at will call

*Tickets may be purchased online until noon Pacific time on the day of each event (unless the event is already sold out).  Any remaining tickets may be purchased in person at the Academy box office until the close of the business day (5 p.m.) or when the doors open for the event.

By Mail

To purchase tickets by mail, download the Events Ticket Order Form in HTML or PDF format. Print and mail the completed form, along with a check or money order, payable to THE ACADEMY FOUNDATION, and a self-addressed stamped envelope to:

At the Box Office

Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Academy box office between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or if still available, at the door on the day of the event. The Academy box office is located on the ground floor of the Academy’s headquarters:
