The 23rd Annual Contemporary Documentaries series is a showcase for feature-length
and short documentaries drawn from the 2003 Academy Award® nominations,
including the winners, as well as other important and innovative films considered
by the Academy that year.
All films in Part One of the series screen at the Academy’s
new Linwood Dunn Theater at the Pickford Center in Hollywood on
Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m., except for the IMAX evening on December
15 (see below). Filmmakers will be present at screenings whenever
possible.
