Docs! The 2009 Documentary Short Subject and Documentary Feature Nominees

The Academy celebrated the work of the nominated filmmakers in the Documentary Short Subject and Feature categories with the first annual “Docs!” night. The program included film clips from each of the nominated documentaries in both categories, and a panel discussion with each group of nominees. This was the newest event on the “Oscar Week” calendar, highlighting some of the most compelling and important films of the year.
The 2009 nominees are:
