Science and Technology Council
SUPPORT ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN
Full-time position
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Provide general technical support to Council technical staff and project committees
- Operate and maintain Council test equipment and lab facilities including inventory tracking, calibration and repair
- Provide first-level technical support for external partners and general technical community on Council projects via email, support forums, and other collaborative tools
- Attend and support Council project committee meetings as required
- Generate and maintain technical documentation and reports as required
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in engineering or 5+ years experience in a related technology field
- Knowledge of current motion picture production and postproduction technologies and processes
- Previous media and entertainment industry-related technical support experience
- Experience in conducting test procedures, collecting data, and generating test reports
- Experience with common productivity applications and imaging applications including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Premiere Pro or Apple Final Cut Pro
- Experience with test equipment including light and color measurement devices and oscilloscopes
- Experience with bench-level electronic troubleshooting, soldering and repair
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to operate in a highly dynamic and quality-focused environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and workspace organization
- Ability to lift and carry 35 lb loads
- Valid California driver’s license and good driving record
