Filmmaker Blake Edwards and wife Julie Andrews arrive to a reception Thursday, February 26 in Hollywood

The Honorary Award Reception on February 26, honored Filmmaker Blake Edwards who received an Honorary Academy Award by the Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

The Award, an Oscar^® statuette, was presented at the 76th Academy Awards on February 29. The Honorary Award was given to Edwards to honor his "extraordinary distinction in lifetime achievement." The citation read: "In recognition of his writing, directing and producing an extraordinary body of work for the screen."
