Nominees Luncheon
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences honored this year's Oscar contenders at its annual Nominees Luncheon on Monday, March 10, 2003, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Seventeen of the 19 nominees in the acting categories were among 99 nominees from 24 categories who gathered at noon for the traditional pre-Academy Awards fete.

From the Leading Actor and Actress categories Adrien Brody, Nicolas Cage, Michael Caine, Daniel Day-Lewis, Jack Nicholson, Salma Hayek, Nicole Kidman, Diane Lane and Renée Zellweger attended. Kathy Bates, Queen Latifah, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Chris Cooper, John C. Reilly, Ed Harris and Christopher Walken represented the Supporting Acting categories. Julianne Moore, nominated for both Leading and Supporting Actress, also attended.

Attending from the Directing category were Stephen Daldry, Rob Marshall and Martin Scorsese. Nominated writers attending were Bill Condon, David Hare, Todd Haynes, Peter Hedges, Charlie Kaufman, Nia Vardalos, Chris Weitz , Paul Weitz and Steve Zaillian.


Nominees Luncheon

Oscar® Nominees, including 17 of the 19 acting nominees, gathered at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, for the 22nd Annual Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Nominees Luncheon.
